Subscription Terms
These Subscription Terms supplement our Terms of Use and apply when you purchase, start a trial, redeem a promotion, or activate any paid Cal AI feature (“Subscription”). Purchases are processed by third-party platforms such as Google Play or the Apple App Store (“Platforms”), not directly by Cal AI.
Plans and features
Subscription names, included features, scan limits, billing periods, trial availability, and prices are displayed in the App and/or on the Platform at the time of purchase. Features may include higher usage limits, premium scan flows, cloud functionality, or other paid capabilities shown in the App.
We may add, change, or remove features where reasonably necessary, including for product improvements, provider changes, security, legal compliance, or operational reasons. If a material paid feature changes, we will handle notice or remedies as required by the Platform rules and applicable law.
Pricing, taxes, and currency
Prices are shown before purchase and may vary by country, currency, taxes, Platform, promotion, or subscription tier. Taxes and fees may be added by the Platform based on your location and payment method. The Platform controls final checkout pricing and receipt generation.
Billing and payment
Payment is charged to your Platform account using the payment method on file. By starting a Subscription, you authorize the Platform to charge recurring fees until you cancel. Cal AI does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. The Platform determines the exact renewal time, charge timing, receipt, tax handling, and payment retry behaviour. Check your Platform subscription settings for the authoritative renewal date.
Free trials and promotions
If we offer a free trial, discount, or promotional period, its duration, price, eligibility, and conversion terms will be shown before you subscribe. Unless you cancel before the trial or promotional period ends, your Subscription may convert to a paid plan and renew according to the Platform schedule.
Trial and promotion eligibility may be limited by Platform account, device, region, subscription history, or other rules enforced by the Platform.
Managing subscriptions
Subscription management, cancellation, renewal, purchase restoration, billing history, and payment methods are handled through the Platform where you subscribed. Use the same Platform account used for the original purchase.
- Google Play: Open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cal AI.
- Apple App Store: Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Cal AI.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your Platform account. Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current paid period unless required by law or Platform policy. In most cases, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
Deleting the App, deleting your Cal AI account, signing out, or clearing app data does not automatically cancel a Platform-managed Subscription. You must cancel through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Failed payments and access changes
If a payment fails, the Platform may retry the charge, pause the Subscription, cancel it, or limit access according to its policies. Paid features may become unavailable if the Platform reports that your Subscription is expired, cancelled, refunded, charged back, or otherwise invalid.
Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and the Platform's refund rules. Most refund requests must be submitted through Google Play or Apple because they process the payment and make the primary refund decision.
Changes and downtime
We strive to keep paid features available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Temporary downtime, maintenance, provider issues, network problems, device compatibility, or app store outages may affect availability. We will handle material disruptions as required by law or Platform policy.
Contact
For billing issues that cannot be resolved through the Platform, contact us using the support channel or email published in the app store listing or site footer when configured. Include your Platform, order ID, purchase date, account email if applicable, and a short description of the issue.
