Delete your account and data
You can request deletion of your Cal AI account and associated server-side data at any time. This page explains how to submit a request, what data is removed, what may be kept for a limited time, and how long deletion normally takes.
Account deletion request
Request deletion by email
If you cannot delete your account from the Android app, send a request to Cal AI support. Include the Google account email you used in Cal AI and mention that you want to delete your account and associated data.
Use the support email listed on the Cal AI Google Play store listing and include the subject "Cal AI account deletion request".
We may ask for additional verification before deleting server-side data. Verified email requests are normally completed within 30 days.
Before you delete
- Deleting your Cal AI account removes server data tied to that account and cannot normally be undone.
- Account deletion does not cancel subscriptions or purchases managed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Cancel subscriptions through the platform where you subscribed.
- Local data stored only on your device may require uninstalling the app, clearing app storage, or using in-app deletion controls where available.
- If you use Cal AI without Google Sign-In, some data may be anonymous or tied only to a device session. You can still clear local app data from your device settings.
Option 1: Delete from the Android app
- Open Settings in Cal AI.
- Tap Your account or the account row.
- When signed in with Google, tap Delete account and server data.
- Read the confirmation message carefully.
- Confirm deletion. The app calls our API, signs you out of Google on the device, and clears local session keys.
In-app deletion removes active server-side account data immediately after the request succeeds. The app may then start a fresh anonymous session on the device.
Option 2: Request deletion without app access
If you cannot access the device or app, contact us by email using the request button above or the support email shown on the Cal AI Google Play listing. Include the platform you used, the Google account email if you signed in, and enough information for us to identify the account. We may ask for additional verification before processing the request.
What is deleted
When account deletion is completed, we remove server-side records associated with your account, including:
- Your Cal AI user record and optional Google account link stored on our side.
- Registered devices and sessions tied to that account.
- Server-side scan history, food recognition results, diary entries, and related metadata tied to the account.
- Profile details and preferences stored on our servers, such as goals, language, theme, and reminder settings.
- Quota and usage records tied directly to your user ID where they are no longer needed for security or abuse prevention.
What may be kept temporarily
Some limited information may remain after account deletion where it is needed for backups, security, fraud prevention, debugging, legal compliance, accounting, or app store dispute handling.
- Backup copies are normally overwritten or deleted within 90 days.
- Security, abuse-prevention, diagnostics, and server logs may be kept for up to 90 days.
- Purchase, tax, accounting, legal, and dispute records may be kept for as long as required by law or platform rules.
- Data stored only on your device remains on that device until you uninstall Cal AI, clear app storage, or delete it in the app where controls are available.
After deletion
Server-side scan history, synced profile data, and account-linked settings will no longer be available after deletion. If you sign in again later, a new server account may be created unless the platform or app flow states otherwise.
