Refund Policy
Cal AI subscriptions, trials that convert to paid plans, and in-app purchases are processed by third-party platforms such as Google Play and the Apple App Store (“Platforms”). Those Platforms handle payment processing, receipts, charge timing, taxes, and most refund decisions according to their own policies and applicable law.
This policy explains where to request refunds, how refunds differ from cancellation, and what information to include if you contact us about a billing issue.
Refunds vs. cancellation
A refund returns money for a purchase or subscription period if approved by the Platform. Cancellation stops future renewals. Canceling a subscription does not automatically refund the current billing period, and deleting the App or deleting your Cal AI account does not cancel Platform-managed billing.
Google Play purchases
For purchases made through Google Play, refund eligibility, request windows, review timing, and refund method are determined by Google. You can usually request a refund from your Google Play order history or through Google Play Help.
- Open your Google Play order history or the Google Play Help refund flow.
- Select the Cal AI purchase or subscription charge.
- Follow Google's instructions and provide the reason for the request.
- Watch your Google account email or Play order history for the decision.
See Google's help article on refunds for apps and digital content: Google Play refunds.
Apple App Store purchases
For purchases made through Apple, refund requests are handled by Apple. Apple determines whether a purchase is eligible, how long review takes, and how approved refunds are returned.
- Go to Apple's report a problem or refund request page.
- Sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
- Select the Cal AI purchase or subscription charge.
- Choose the refund reason and submit the request to Apple.
See Apple's guidance: Request a refund for apps or content.
When to contact us
Contact us if you believe there is a technical or billing issue that the Platform cannot resolve, such as duplicate charges, a purchase not unlocking after the Platform confirms payment, a charge linked to the wrong account, or a refund request that requires app-side context. We will review in good faith, but we cannot guarantee or override a Platform refund decision where the Platform controls the payment.
Information to include
To help us investigate, include:
- The Platform used for purchase: Google Play or Apple App Store.
- Your order ID, transaction ID, or receipt identifier if available.
- The purchase or renewal date and approximate amount charged.
- The account email used for Google Sign-In or the Platform account, if relevant.
- A short description of the issue and any screenshots that do not expose sensitive payment details.
Subscription renewals
To stop future charges, cancel your subscription through the Platform before the renewal date shown in your Platform subscription settings. If a renewal has already occurred, refund eligibility for that charge is determined by the Platform and applicable law. See also our Subscription Terms.
Chargebacks and account status
If a chargeback, reversal, or Platform refund is issued, Cal AI may receive a status update from the Platform and paid access may be removed or adjusted. If you believe access was changed incorrectly, contact us with the relevant receipt or Platform order information.
